EUROPEAN PTA annual aWARDS

Do you have an outstanding PTA UNIT that you would like everyone to know about?  An amazing READING PROGRAM in your school?  A VOLUNTEER who goes above and beyond?  An EDUCATOR who deserves to be recognized?

European PTA gives away four awards annually to recognize the people who work to support our students, our schools, and our communities, and who help to make every child's potential a reality.  They are:


LOCAL UNIT OF THE YEAR  . . .  This award goes to a Local PTA Unit that demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission of the PTA as:

  • a powerful voice for all children
  • a relevant resource for families and communities
  • a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child  


THE LINDA S. RESCH READING AWARD  . . .  This award goes to a school that provides an outstanding program that emphasizes involvement in reading (whether to improve their children’s reading skills or encourage reading for pleasure).

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR  . . .  This award goes to an individual whose volunteer efforts in service to children are deserving of distinction, promoting the well-being of children by serving as an advocate for children in such areas as health, safety and education. 


EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR  . . .  This award goes to local, outstanding educators who demonstrate professional excellence and commitment to the Mission of the PTA.
OTHER IMPORTANT EPTA ANNUAL AWARD INFORMATION:
  • If you don't apply, you can't win!
  • Don't wait until March to start your applications!
    • Plan throughout the year
    • Keep a log of your PTA volunteers
    • Write down the great things that your Local Unit does each month
    • Write about a program, project or on-going involvement that makes your unit special
    • Write up a description of how your PTA/PTSA reading program encourages reader and parent participation
  • All applications must be submitted via the online application portal at http://tinyurl.com/EPTAAwards
  • The 2020-2021 European PTA Awards application deadline is MARCH 5, 2021 
  • Each Unit may enter more than one educator or volunteer if there are several deserving recognition

EPTA achievement and service awards

European PTA also offers two awards which Local Units, schools, or individuals can purchase in honor of the people who have made a difference in their schools and communities:

  • EUROPEAN PTA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD  . . . This award recognizes a dedicated individual's years of service and dedication to PTA, children, and education.  The EPTA Lifetime Achievement Award consists of a certificate of achievement and either a pin or a European PTA coin, and can be presented during the annual European PTA Convention Awards Banquet upon request.  
Applications for both awards are available online at EPTAAwards.CheddarUp.Com, and orders and payment must be submitted to European PTA no later than April 15th if you would like them to be presented at Convention.  

 National PTA Awards and Grants

Throughout the year, National PTA offers awards and grants to honor or support PTAs as they:
  • engage families

  • support student success
 
  • improve the health and safety of students and families
 
  • increase access to arts education
 
  • celebrate advocacy and diversity
